A new single was released first on itunes last October 30, 2012 coming from the one of the hottest country band this year hopefully riding the momentum of the succes of their self titled debut album. “Better Dig Two” was “The Band Perry’s” first single for their 2nd album which is to be released early next year. Riding the success of their first album which got them 2 gold-certified songs, “All Your Life” and “You Lie” and “If I Die Young.”, this one will surely top all charts again. For those who are new to the band, it is composed of sibling led by lead vocalist Kimberly Perry and brothers Reid Perry, and Neil Perry.
“If I Die Young” is the title of a song written by Kimberly Perry and recorded by American country group The Band Perry. The group is composed of Kimberly Perry (lead vocals, rhythm guitar and piano) and her two brothers: Reid Perry (bass guitar, background vocals) and Neil Perry (mandolin, drums, accordion and background vocals). “If I Die Young” is a mid-tempo accompanied by acoustic guitar, banjo, accordion, mandolin, and fiddle. The song’s female narrator describes being content with the life she has lived, assuring others that if she were to die at her young age, that she would have no regrets. It was released as their second single in June 2010, and serves as the lead-off single to the group’s self-titled debut album, which was released on October 12, 2010.
